Neighbors, an Air Force service member died Saturday after falling onto the field while rappelling from the rafters of the Alamodome in San Antonio ahead of the University of Texas at San Antonio’s football game against Navy.
—————————
The airman was participating in a pregame demonstration as part of UTSA’s annual Salute to Armed Forces & Veterans ceremony when the fatal incident occurred. The demonstration was scheduled to take place approximately 15 minutes before kickoff, with four officers expected to rappel from the stadium’s rafters onto the field as part of the tribute honoring members of the military and veterans.
