I created Scars & Scripture because I thought I was writing something that would help someone walking through cancer find hope, peace, and Jesus in the middle of the hardest season of their life.

What I didn’t expect was that it would become one of the most healing parts of my own survivorship.

Every page has reminded me that while cancer left scars on my body, God has been writing His faithfulness over every single one of them.

As a breast cancer survivor, I know what it feels like to need hope when the future feels uncertain. My prayer is that this devotional reminds someone else they are never walking this road alone.

A portion of every Scars & Scripture sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society, because I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people and organizations that walked beside me.

And this is only the beginning.

If you know my story, then you know I didn’t survive cancer alone. My husband, my family, my friends, and so many caregivers carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. Their journey matters too.

So stay tuned… because something is coming for the caregivers. They deserve a place to heal through God’s Word just as much as the survivors do.
