🏕️🎣 Our 5th trip to Missinaibi Provincial Park! 🌲🇨🇦
Another great adventure in the books with my son. We had an amazing campsite, some good fishing 🎣, beautiful weather, and plenty of time surrounded by the kind of wilderness that makes Missinaibi such a special place.
Five trips in, I’m realizing he’s getting a little older now, and these adventures may not have quite the same magic for him that they did when he was younger. But for me, they’ve always been about much more than camping and catching fish.
They’re about passing along some of the things my father taught me — respect nature 🌲, be confident and comfortable in the outdoors, learn to rely on yourself, keep developing new skills, and appreciate just how fortunate we are to experience places like this.
Every trip he learns a little more — how to fish, set up camp, handle himself in the wilderness, solve problems and become a little more independent. 💪🎣🏕️
The fish are great, but the memories and the lessons are the real catch. ❤️
