🎬Ready (2011)

Ready is the kind of Bollywood entertainer that gives you romance, comedy, family drama, chaos and Salman Khan being completely in his element. The story follows Prem, a carefree guy who falls for Sanjana after a case of mistaken identity, only to discover that she is caught between her feuding uncles and their plans for her inheritance. Prem decides to take matters into his own hands, and what follows is a hilarious chain of fake identities, elaborate schemes and family madness. Salman Khan and Asin have a fun, effortless chemistry, while the colourful locations, energetic songs, over-the-top comedy and larger-than-life family drama give the film that unmistakable early-2010s Bollywood feel. With its mix of romance, humour and pure masala entertainment, Ready remains one of those films that feels instantly nostalgic.
