Well what a brilliant week. Here's a quick summary.

It started with random collage and blue wash, gessoed in our concertina sketch books.

Observation sketches, sometimes rained on and washed out, but with often interesting effects.

Rubbings from signs on magazine pages using sandpaper.

Mark making to music with various mediums. I seemed to create an infinity sign ♾️

Looking abstractly at shape, tone, contrast, colour with collage.

Choosing what spoke to us from our sketches and processes, we began to work on our three boards at once.

I started mine being horizontal but by the end all became vertical.

I learnt to be free, loose, not to hold on to parts I liked, be brave to paint over, sandpaper back, turn through 360° and do what feels right.

With a lovely bunch of participants, sharing feedback and lunches, getting wet and being challenged. All very satisfying and in a beautiful place to be.
