🇺🇸 William Marshall “Bill” Beckmann died on, April 29 1990, at St. John’s Hospice in Lakewood, Colorado, following an extended illness with AIDS. He was 29 years old. Bill was born in Denver on 14 July 1960. He graduated from Platte Canyon High School in 1978, where he was active in school and community activities, particularly local melodrama theatre. An artist, Bill designed the original “Bailey Day” logo located at the Entriken Cabin in Bailey, and painted the Husky logo in the old Platte Canyon High School gymnasium. Bill attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and graduated from the University of Denver in 1982. Before his illness, he worked in Human Resources at the Life Insurance Company of Denver. Doug Lasky told @theaidsmemorial, “I met Bill when we both sang with the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus. We lived two blocks away from each other. He was incredibly kind and handsome. He was always looking for love (as we all were at that age). His specialty was cooking Chicken Veronique in his tiny apartment for a first date. One night his date didn’t show up so he called me and I got to experience the special meal (without the romantic dessert). I remember him in hospice. All that youthful joy and beauty wasting away. I spoke at his memorial service. I’m now 70 years old and I think of him often and how he touched my life.” #whatisrememberedlives

My same morning photo and edit routine was thrown off this morning as I woke up to the sound of tiny feet running around the house and shrill scream of the Tiny Terrorist yelling “Pop Pop! Where are you?!” So, some rushed blart photos and poor editing later, here you go! Fancy for #fancywatchfriday - maybe? Also had to get in a post for #seiko5fieldgmtpolardialandsimilarandhomagesweek so Bruno would not feel ignored. This is not a Seiko, but it is a GMT with a fixed bezel that is not a white dial. It does comply with my extra flecto crystal theme this week. Scroll for selfies! It’s #selfiewatchweek2026 next week. Please join in. It’s fun. I promise. @aviantime is Overlord of Fancy @its_time_to_show_off_watches is King of Ridiculously Long Hashtags Have a day #watchfam ✌🏻🙀👹
