For Haylee, Forever. 🤍🪽
There are some people who come into your life and leave a piece of themselves with you forever. Haylee was one of those people for me. I’ll never be able to fully express how grateful I am that our paths crossed and that I had the privilege of knowing you, laughing with you, making memories with you, and calling you one of my closest friends. This tattoo is for you, Haylee. Your name inside a heart, surrounded by wings and a halo, because that’s where you’ll always be—in my heart, even though you’re somewhere beyond my reach. One of my favorite pictures of us is simply our hands touching. Back then, it was just a picture with my friend. Now, I would give anything to reach out and touch your hand one more time. If friendship could reach beyond this life, there wouldn’t be a distance far enough to keep my hand from yours. I’m also forever grateful for Kirsten and for the close friendship, laughter, and memories we’ve shared over the years. Life changes, people grow, and friendships go through different seasons, but I’ll always treasure that life gave me the chance to know and be close friends with both of you. Losing Haylee taught me that the bond you share with a friend doesn’t disappear when they’re gone; it simply finds somewhere new to live. So I’ll let a piece of our friendship live here—in your name permanently written on my skin and in the memories I’ll carry with me. I would rather spend a lifetime missing my friend than have lived a lifetime where I never got the chance to know you. There will always be a part of me that wishes we had more time—one more conversation, one more laugh, one more ordinary day together. But more than anything, I’m thankful that for a beautiful part of this life, I got to call you my friend. I hope wherever you are, you know how much your friendship meant to me and how deeply you are still missed. Your absence will always hurt, but your existence will always mean more. I miss you endlessly, Haylee. Until we meet again—and until my hand can reach yours again.
Love, Desi 🕊️
