It’s a bumper year for my Zanthoxylum piperitum (Japanese pepper plant). It’s a very spiky citrus tree and the leaves and seeds smell incredible. I’ll make Mapo tofu with the edible outer pods, and I’m going to plant some of these jet black seeds to see if they grow.
