Hey everyone, I was planning on announcing this one month from today on game 1 of the preseason, but today’s my 25th birthday, and all I want is to share what I’ve been working on with all of you.
Swishadelphia.com is live, and it’s designed to be a hub for any stat, info, or content you could dream of as a Sixer fan. Every single shot a Sixer takes, where they took it, what type of shot it is, and so much more are all accessible in the Team Hub. I have been working on it since my plane landed in July and I saw the JB trade. This is an official release, but I want this month before preseason to also serve as a public beta since I’ve never published a solo project of this magnitude. I expect there to be bugs, hopefully not many, so I included a feedback mechanism that I would appreciate you using. It also has an option for ideas for the website. I want this to be a collaborative experience where you tell me anything you could want from a Sixers or Basketball website, and I’ll try my best to make it. I’ll be working tirelessly the next few weeks and consistently updating it to make it as user friendly as possible. It will be an app eventually, but for now, I designed it so that if you add it to your home screen, it will behave like one.
Also, as part of the Swishadelphia Expansion, I made a Twitter: @swishphilly, a TikTok: @swishadelphia, and a YouTube channel: @swishadelphia. I still have to decide if I’m going to do YouTube, but it’s something I’m open to. The Swishadelphia Discord is also in works.
As for Tankadelphia, I tried to uphold my promise of keeping the name, and even went into private beta with Tankadelphia.com. Unfortunately, someone bought the domain in 2018, even though there is no website there. I tried every path the past month to contact them and was willing to pay good money, but did not hear back.
However, after I thought about it, it really is time for a change, because even though I still don’t trust this org, the community grew into else. I care more about all of you than I do cursing out Nick Nurse.
You can still call me Tank if you want, Swish, my real name Tommy, or anything else you come up with (be nice)
