POSTS STORIES REELS

Hey everyone, I was planning on announcing this one month from today on game 1 of the preseason, but today’s my 25th birthday, and all I want is to share what I’ve been working on with all of you.

Swishadelphia.com is live, and it’s designed to be a hub for any stat, info, or content you could dream of as a Sixer fan. Every single shot a Sixer takes, where they took it, what type of shot it is, and so much more are all accessible in the Team Hub. I have been working on it since my plane landed in July and I saw the JB trade. This is an official release, but I want this month before preseason to also serve as a public beta since I’ve never published a solo project of this magnitude. I expect there to be bugs, hopefully not many, so I included a feedback mechanism that I would appreciate you using. It also has an option for ideas for the website. I want this to be a collaborative experience where you tell me anything you could want from a Sixers or Basketball website, and I’ll try my best to make it. I’ll be working tirelessly the next few weeks and consistently updating it to make it as user friendly as possible. It will be an app eventually, but for now, I designed it so that if you add it to your home screen, it will behave like one.

Also, as part of the Swishadelphia Expansion, I made a Twitter: @SwishPhilly, a TikTok: @Swishadelphia, and a YouTube channel: @Swishadelphia. I still have to decide if I’m going to do YouTube, but it’s something I’m open to. The Swishadelphia Discord is also in works.

As for Tankadelphia, I tried to uphold my promise of keeping the name, and even went into private beta with Tankadelphia.com. Unfortunately, someone bought the domain in 2018, even though there is no website there. I tried every path the past month to contact them and was willing to pay good money, but did not hear back.

However, after I thought about it, it really is time for a change, because even though I still don’t trust this org, the community grew into else. I care more about all of you than I do cursing out Nick Nurse.

You can still call me Tank if you want, Swish, my real name Tommy, or anything else you come up with (be nice)

We did, in fact, want Boston…

I am speechless and in tears. I hate that I don’t hate the Boston Celtics anymore because I’ve become so accustomed to losing. This 3-1 comeback was a decade of disappointment in the making, so an IG caption can’t really capture the feeling we’re all having. Joel Embiid and the 76ers have beaten the Boston Celtics in a playoff series. This is my fucking Super Bowl and I do not care a damn that it is.

Celtics fans can keep chanting Fuck Embiid, but the greatest player you’ve ever played in the playoffs just sent you home. by @swishadelphia

I present to you, the Sixers backup center saga. Truly a tale for the ages.

So nice of the sixers to only take Embiid’s entire career to find him a competent backup big that can develop with him! We finally have a backup Center! Unfortunately, now we probably don’t have a starting center… by @swishadelphia

THE SIXERS ARE 7-1.

Dominant performances by our star players. What a time to be a 76ers fan. by @swishadelphia

Who’s too high, who’s too low, and which team deserves more respect? 👀

Simons has basically dropped 20 points with 5 3s in three straight games off the bench, and tonight, he faces off against his former team, who are also not great at perimeter defense. I’m expect a fourth bomb in a row. One of the things I’ve been adamant on is that Simons should not be a typical 6th man. Lou Will, Jamal Crawford, Payton Pritchard, are all bucket getters that can call their own number in the second unit and flat out score, but that shouldn’t strictly be Simons’ role, and you’ve seen that the past 3 games. This team needs to treat him like a Seth Curry/JJ Redick option. He can obviously do more, but this team will be at its best when he shoots more catch and shoot 3’s than off the dribble shots anywhere on the floor. We need to run an offense where even when he’s not the main option, we’re moving off-ball and creating space so that we maximize his potential catch and shoot 3’s. He would be starting on damn near 25 other teams, and it’s criminal that someone that good has to come off the bench, so it’s critical that we involve him in the offense no matter who’s on the floor to create the spacing for the other guys. Let’s watch him cook once again tonight. by @swishadelphia

Tyrese Maxey Dropped 38 Points vs the Charlotte Hornets, but who was guarding him?

Tyrese Maxey Might be the MVP of the League Through 7 Games.

He’s a 4th Quarter ASSASSIN.

Dude, this, team, what an amazing win last night! How can you not be entertained? I knew Tyrese would be the statistical leader of this team due to him being the natural off-ball player, but his consistency at this level of efficiency and scoring output is well above what I would have predicted. Maxey was in early top-5 MVP considerations last season before we started derailing, and even though he had no chance of finishing top 3 three and it was simply a way to bring attention to his elite performance, I’m still looking back at that and trying to the think what the odds are of him finishing top 3 this year assuming we finish 1st in the loaded East. Wemby, Luka, and Shai are the clear cut 3 guys I would pick now, since I think Jokic would have to somehow improve even more to avoid voter fatigue which I don’t think is happening. Maybe Luka gets in injury trouble or the Thunder end up with a worse record than the Sixers and Maxey averages more points. It’s a long shot, but a few weeks into this season and I already think Maxey might be 1st Team All-NBA, which I would not have counted on before the season started. This team is starting off unbelievable man. There is so much to work on but the fact that we’re still winning consistently against good teams says so much about this roster. Just wait until we figure it out. by @swishadelphia
