The Medicare Advantage Bloodbath Has Begun (Check Your Mail) Check your mail right now. We are witnessing the largest disruption to Medicare Advantage in over 20 years, and millions of older adults are getting a terrifying letter: your plan will cease to exist on December 31. Humana, Centene, and Aetna are pulling out of entire counties and gutting drug coverage. Here is the hidden trigger almost no one is explaining. The government quietly changed the math behind its Star Ratings (a method called Tukey outlier deletion), wiping out billions in insurer bonus payments overnight, an estimated $3.5 billion hit to Humana alone. The insurers are retaliating by abandoning unprofitable counties and shrinking the plans that remain. But there is a silver lining no one is talking about. Because the insurer broke the contract, a canceled plan unlocks a rare โ€œguaranteed issueโ€ right. You can buy top-tier Medigap coverage with NO medical questions asked, even with cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. If you do nothing before December 7, you can be dumped into a dangerous default with no drug coverage. Watch this before you make a single move, and share it with someone on Medicare. #Medicare #MedicareAdvantage #Medigap

Making my wife celebrate Childrenโ€™s Day with me! In Brazil, children have a day just for themselves every 12th of October, filled with activities, gifts and the best part: lots of treats! To celebrate, today weโ€™re making the best crunchy caramelised popcorn, and the secret isโ€ฆ Kerrygold, of course! Kerrygold is always our go to in the kitchen for any recipes sweet and savoury! Start by melting your @kerrygoldirl butter in a pan on medium heat, then add the brown sugar and golden syrup. Stir until everything is combined, then leave it to bubble away for 4 minutes. And this is important: donโ€™t touch it anymore! Take it off the heat, add the bicarbonate of soda and stir quickly. Watch it foam up! It will nearly double in volume. This should only take a couple seconds. Pour the mixture over your popcorn and mix with the help of two spatulas to cover all kernels. Spread it out on two baking trays and pop it in the oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to get that perfect, crunchy coating. Let it cool (preferable a couple hours to allow to fully harden). Try not to eat it all at once, and aproveite! Perfect little Halloween treat too, good memories! Ingredients: Popcorn! Microwavable, popped or made on the hob like we show below. Butter caramel: 100g Kerrygold butter 200g brown sugar (1 cup) 170g golden syrup (1/2 cup) 1/2 tsp baking soda If making your own popcorn, add 60ml of vegetable oil (1/4 cup) to a pot with 3 kernels and wait until all 3 pop. Add 1/3 cup popping corn and take off the heat for 20-30 seconds to make sure all kernels come to the same temperature, now pop back in the heat, pop the lid off (leave a little steam gap) and wait for the popping to begin. Youโ€™ll know itโ€™s all popped when you can count 3 seconds between each pop. You can use ยพ cup popcorn kernels if you donโ€™t want the popcorn fully caramel coated and you prefer it less sweet.
