My heart in human form ❤️ no words, video or write up can perfectly describe it. God settled me forever with this one 💃🏼🤸🏼😀 Always praying for grace and wisdom to continue figuring it out to get it right

Share this with someone who needs a gentler reminder today. And take a moment to read it yourself, too. It’s easy to look at someone and feel certain we understand them. What they should eat. How hard they should exercise. How quickly they should recover. Sometimes, we turn that same judgment on ourselves. “They’re doing so much better. Why am I still here?” But we rarely know what someone started with, what support they have, or what it took for them to show up today. Even a compliment can carry an assumption. “You’ve lost weight. You look so much healthier.” We may mean it kindly. But we don’t know whether that change came with better habits, illness, grief or a difficult relationship with food. Before commenting, it helps to pause: “Do I know how this person is actually feeling?” You can ask how they’ve been. Listen without immediately offering a solution. Let them decide how much they want to share. And if someone tells you about progress that seems small, resist the urge to raise the bar. You don’t have to follow “I walked for ten minutes today” with “Try twenty tomorrow.” Sometimes, “I know this matters to you. I’m glad you could do it” is enough. Give yourself that same room. Your progress doesn’t become less meaningful because someone else can do more. You’re allowed to begin where you are, accept help and take the time you need. You won’t catch every judgment before it appears. But you can notice it and reconsider. “I don’t know their situation.” “I don’t need to comment on their body.” “I can be proud of myself without comparing.” Nobody should have to explain their pain to deserve a little understanding. Today, try replacing one assumption with curiosity and one harsh thought about yourself with patience. 🤍 #ChooseKindness #BeyondAppearances #HealthJourney #SelfCompassion #LukeCoutinho
