Hello, there. It’s Dan + Tay, here to announce some big heart-led changes at Suarez Family Brewery. Before you have a heart attack, just know that we are not permanently closing Suarez Family Brewery. In this tenuous time when we are seeing so many special small businesses closing - we have an even greater motivation to keep our weird little project alive. We believe in the beer we make and the space that we cultivate. They are simple, but foundational to those who ‘get’ what we’re all about. And so we are making changes in the year ahead to recalibrate and create some space to imagine the long-term future of Suarez Family Brewery, knowing that the current iteration has not been wholly sustainable for us. For now, here’s what you need to know. We will continue to operate Suarez Family Brewery as you currently know it until Sunday November 22nd, 2026. After that we are shifting to an entirely new (to us) model for 2027. Next year we’ll be scaling back our production, and opening for a Spring, Summer, and Fall ‘pop’ (each time open for two weeks in the taproom, sending out a round of mail orders, and serving our wholesale customers). Stay tuned for the exact dates of these 2027 ‘pops’ in the coming weeks. We know that you likely have A LOT of questions, which we plan to answer as the month unfolds. Subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of our homepage at drinksuarez.com to get the full story. // continued in comments below //
Wish I could tell this 16 year old boy that one day, being gay wouldn’t be something he had to hide. And to anyone who sees themselves in him, I hope you get to experience that freedom too. ❤️ If you’re reading our book, this was just before chapter 38. 📖 Just a few months after this video, I came out to my parents. What followed was a painful journey of prayers and attempts to change who I was. Yesterday, I saw Robyn perform this song live, and it made me think about who I was back then and who I am today. I wish I could tell that boy that everything was going to be okay.

Albania’s student protests rage on in Tirana as Prime Minister Edi Rama refuses to resign. Day 3 of the Albania student protests. Thousands filled the streets of Tirana again, battling riot police who fired tear gas, water cannon and sound grenades. Reports online suggest protesters are breaking through police lines and trying to enter the parliament building in Tirana. Parliament cancelled its session as clashes erupted nearby. Why are students protesting in Albania? They accuse the government of corruption and neglecting education. Anger also centres on the sale of parts of Albania’s southern coastline to a luxury resort project backed by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law. PM Edi Rama denies corruption and rejects resignation. He offers talks on education costs and casts the unrest as a threat to Albania’s EU membership bid. Albania aims to join the EU as early as 2028. Unrest is now spreading beyond Tirana. Protests are reported in Shkodra, where a police commander was badly injured, plus Durres, Elbasan, Kukes and Vlora. In Skanderbeg Square, police beat fleeing protesters with batons as tourists watched. The protests in Albania come amid a wave of student-led uprisings across Europe, and Tirana has quickly become one of the fiercest fronts. Is Europe facing a youth uprising?
