Jesus Is Writing Your Sunrise!
As I gazed into the horizon, the colors intensified and the ball of light slowly began to form. The sun was waking up, signaling the beginning of a new day. It brought a blessing. A grateful heart. And a moment to stop worrying about anything else and simply surrender.
The sunrise happens once a day, and somehow, it becomes part of our story. Jesus brings us light. He brings us hope. He brings us strength to tackle whatever lands on our path.
Embrace the positives, but appreciate the challenges too. Because sometimes, the challenges are the very things that lead us to where we need to go next. I’ll admit, I was frustrated this week. Totally depleted. But this morning, I was reminded of the beauty right in front of me. Jesus paints the sky, not to show off, but to show us His deep love and admiration for us. He wants us to see the masterpiece. He gives us glimpses of beauty that can shed so much hope and joy into our lives. He wants to draw us in. To remind us that we are loved. Let Jesus take your hand.
This morning, I imagined the day when Jesus takes my hand and says, “Now go run.” A day I long for. And when that day comes, I know Hebrews 12:1–2 will carry a whole new meaning for me: “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…”
It has always been one of my favorite passages.
But I value it even more now. Because sometimes the race isn’t about how fast you can run. Sometimes it’s about refusing to stop. Sometimes it’s about taking one more step.
One more breath. One more prayer. One more day.
If you’re standing in a season that feels dark, depleted, or uncertain, keep going. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Let Him hold your hand.
Let Him give you the strength for whatever comes next. Because just as surely as the sun rises again, so does hope.
Your sunrise awaits. What will Jesus reveal to you? ❤️
