I haven’t left Japan since 2019 — it’s been so long that my passport had actually expired!
This year it’s happening in Amsterdam, and of course, I’ve never been there either. I’m pretty nervous about how far my broken English will get me when talking with the other painters, but if worst comes to worst, I’ll pull out my secret weapon: a translation app.

Cool panel, i spent a whole night with an Italian family drinking eating and laughing and communicated entirely through Google translate! Hope to meet you there buddy!

Go stand in the walking line at the free ferry boat ride across the river and visit the STRAAT museum. It’s a street art and graffiti museum and is a gallery of huge billboard size murals walking only 200 steps from the ferry exit. Plenty of graffiti and good food next to it also. We ate at the restaurant with the hand painted signs outside in July. 🤗The botanical gardens, the micropia exhibit at the ARTIS science museum next to the zoo, Ann Frank House (reserve tickets well in advance), Van Gogh museum, the largest underground bike parking in the world by the train station, fish at Frens Haringhandel street stand, stroopwafel anywhere it’s about £5 if you like caramel.
