Regardless of what side of the internet you crawled out from, you probably heard about Jane Remover in 2026. The Chicago-based musician made her @coachella debut, opened for @charli_xcx in London, and then set off on a headlining tour of her own, selling out New York’s Terminal 5 and drawing increasingly raucous crowds (many of which do smell). Calling in from West Monroe, Louisiana, between shows, she tells us about overflowing toilets, musty crowds, and her new single, “Beauty Sleep.” Link in bio. #janeremover
Some speeches inspire you for a moment. Snoop Dogg's graduation speech makes you rethink how you've been living your entire life. There are days when you feel unstoppable, and then there are days when you question everything. Your progress, your decisions, your dreams, and whether all the hard work will ever be worth it. That's when this speech hits differently. At the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business commencement ceremony in 2025, legendary rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg delivered one of the most powerful motivational speeches about perseverance, self-belief, and staying true to yourself. Standing before the graduating class at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Snoop reflected on his journey from being an underdog in Long Beach, California, to becoming one of the most recognizable figures in entertainment. But what makes this iconic speech so unforgettable isn't his fame or success. It's the simplicity of his message. Stay humble. Never forget where you came from. Stay hungry. Never lose the ambition that brought you this far. Stay true. Never sacrifice your identity just to fit someone else's expectations. And perhaps the most powerful lesson of all is that believing in yourself matters most when nobody else does. What makes Snoop Dogg's words so relatable is that he doesn't pretend success comes without struggle. He reminds us that rejection, uncertainty, sacrifice, and failure are often part of becoming the person we're meant to be. Sometimes the greatest motivation doesn't come from hearing something new. It comes from being reminded of something you've forgotten about yourself. Your journey isn't over just because things are difficult right now. Keep showing up. Keep believing. Keep becoming. Save this unforgettable Snoop Dogg speech for the days when you need motivation, or share it with someone who needs a reminder that their story is still being written.
Former gang boss, Keffe D, sentenced to 40yrs in jail for orchestrating rapper Tupac’s m¥rder 30 yrs ago Former gang leader Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for orchestrating the 1996 m¥rder of American rap superstar Tupac Shakur. A jury found the 63-year-old guilty in September of one count of m¥rder with a de@dly we@pon over the drive-by sh%%ting that k+lled Shakur in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. Davis has said he intends to appeal the verdict. Prosecutors argued that Davis, a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips street gang, organised the k+lling and supplied the g¥n used by his nephew, Orlando Anderson, who allegedly opened fire on Shakur. Although Davis did not sh%%t the rapper himself, prosecutors maintained that he was the ringleader behind the att@ck. Anderson, who denied involvement in Shakur’s m¥rder, d+ed in an unrelated sh%%ting in 1998. A key part of the prosecution’s case was Davis’ own statements, in which he repeatedly acknowledged being inside the white Cadillac from which the fatal sh%ts were fired. In a secret 2008 police interview concerning the m¥rder of fellow rapper Notorious B.I.G., whose real name was Christopher Wallace, Davis discussed his role in Shakur’s k+lling under an agreement that protected him from criminal prosecution. However, his 2019 memoir, Compton Street Legend, and subsequent media interviews in which he elaborated on his involvement voided the protective agreement. A judge later permitted his police interview to be used as evidence in the m¥rder trial. During the trial, Davis’ defence team argued that his statements were fabricated or exaggerated to sell books and make money. Shakur was 25 when he was k+lled and had already become one of hip-hop’s most influential artists. He has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. His m¥rder remained one of America’s most notorious cold cases for nearly three decades, generating widespread speculation and conspiracy theories before Davis’ conviction.
