#HipHopHistory - On this day in 1992, Nas, then known as #NastyNas, released his debut single, “Halftime,” introducing the world to one of hip-hop’s greatest lyricists.

Originally featured on the Zebrahead soundtrack, the track helped launch #Nas into the spotlight after #MCSerch secured its placement in the film. The buzz eventually led to a deal with Columbia Records and paved the way for his legendary 1994 debut album, Illmatic, where “Halftime” would also appear.

With razor-sharp lyricism, effortless flow, and raw Queensbridge storytelling, “Halftime” marked the beginning of a career that would help shape hip-hop history.

34 years later, this classic still hits! 🐐
