There is power in knowing how to protect yourself. There is also power in knowing yourself.

This September, Black Lives Matter Grassroots Long Beach invites women to join us outdoors at the Bluff for this unique Black-centered wellness experience presented as part of our Divine Woman Wellness Series. The series grew out of our 2026 #BlackWomenAreDivine celebration and our belief that caring for Black women is a must. The series creates ongoing opportunities for Black women to turn our attention inward, reconnect with ourselves, build relationships with one another, and experience practical approaches to wellness led by local Black women healers and wellness practitioners.

Throughout the series, we are exploring wellness in its many forms, from breathwork, yoga and movement to herbal medicine, nourishing food, creativity, sound healing, spiritual grounding, rest, and personal safety.

Come experience Professor Zahalea's distinctive approach to aligning spirit, mind, and body. Connect to your body, your instincts, your surroundings, and the power you already carry.
