Nasadiya Sukta | Before the Universe Existed Rig Veda Hymn of Creation 🌌
What existed before the universe?
Before the stars, before the galaxies, before light and darkness-what was there?
The **Nāsadīya Sūkta **, Rig Veda 10.129, is one of the ancient world's most profound contemplations on the mystery of creation.
It begins with an extraordinary thought:
"Then, there was neither non-existence nor existence..."
From primordial darkness emerges *Tad Ekam - "That One."* Desire arises, mind awakens, and the mystery of creation unfolds. Yet the hymn does not end with a simple answer. It ends with an even greater question: Who truly knows how creation began?
*This visual journey follows all seven verses:*
1. Neither existence nor non-existence
2. Tad Ekam - That One
3. Darkness hidden within darkness
4. Desire, the first seed of mind
5. The unfolding structure of creation
7. Perhaps even the highest knows-or perhaps not
This video combines the ancient contemplation of the *Rig Veda* with cinematic imagery of the cosmos, inviting us to look at creation with the same wonder with which the ancient rșis contemplated it.
*Nāsadīya Sūkta - Rig Veda 10.129*
