Finally I got the chance to ride the MTA - New York City Subway’s all-new Kawasaki R211A New Technology Trains (currently replacing the 40 to 50-year old R46 & some R68 Trains), and this is the 8th Avenue Local C Train!
Folks, you gotta love the horsepower output of each of the Kawasaki R211 train car —- 700 to 800 horsepower per train car —- the highest output of all trains awarded to the MTA - New York City Subway in its entire history! Thus, the all-new Kawasaki R211 Train sets are even faster than the older R160 (some manufactured by Alstom of France, some are built by Kawasaki of Japan) & R179 (made by Bombardier of France/Canada) New Technology Trains!
Dahil pinakamalakas ang traction motors nitong mga bagong tren ng MTA - New York City Subway, nasaksihan ko sa 8th Avenue Local service ng C Train from 34th Street-Penn Station to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal na umabot ng 39 miles per hour ang speed, versus sa now retired R32 at soon to be completely retired R46 Trains na nasa 25 to 30 mph ang speed sa local track! Also, na-check ko rin ang speedo ng R211A D Train on the 6th Avenue Express Line, the R211A D Train running express from 34th Street-Herald Square to West 4th Street-Washington Square hit 52 mph on the speedo (versus the now retired R40 “slant-nose” & the soon to be retired R68 Trains that hit 40 to 46 mph).
