Oreo and I turned one pawty into the happiest little gathering on Oreo’s actual birthday. 🖤🤍🤎

We kept it small, intimate, and cosy, surrounded only by our favourite family and friends. 🥹

Thank you everyone for spending your precious time with Oreo and me, for showering us with cuddles, treats, presents, and so much love.

Our hearts (and tummies) are so, so full.

When I saw @theisabelbrown post about the way some women online are bragging about ab*rting their baby boys (or posting things like, “Time to find out whether it’s a girl or an ab*rtion”), I was gutted but not surprised. I’ve been on the internet long enough to watch the predominantly female narrative surrounding gender swing from rumblings about “male incompetence” or public figures apologetically “acknowledging the complexity” of raising males (as if they’re inherently defective) to such a fever-pitched extreme that women frequently admit to “hating all men” with the exception of their own husbands (if that)—and are supported by thousands of comments. Someone is sure to say that, if this many women think this way, then there must be something to it. The truth is, as heartbreaking as it is to imagine even a single woman m*rdering her own baby son in her womb, this is not how most women see men. Social contagion is real. The loudest, man-hating feminist voices on TikTok are not representative of the majority. And we have a very real opportunity to tell the truth about men. And the truth is: They’re made in God’s image, have inherent value as such, possess incredible character traits, skills, initiative, and compassion. They fight, build, protect, strive, grow, and sacrifice. They’re essential to every culture (and not just bc those m*rdered baby boys wouldn’t have existed without their fathers’ contribution). Are there evil men? Of course. There are evil women too. (The ones who brag about killing their sons prove this.) “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 But there are *so many* good ones who love well and work hard. They have been the overwhelmingly vast majority of my own experience with men in my life. Sadly, flowing right alongside an epidemic of angry, vindictive women who hate men is a rising tide of disenfranchised, undiscipled young men who could very well grow into that which the loudest negative voices claim they are. We must stand in the gap to ensure this doesn’t happen. Moms of boys: It’s time to raise godly men like it’s our jobs. Because it is.
