In February I went to residential treatment for my eating disorder
@renfrewcenter . I’ve been battling anorexia for years. It’s now been 6 months of me putting the work in to recover and I’m proud to say I am officially 100% weight restored.
It has not been easy. I’ve been through so many ups and downs throughout this process, but I’m the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been in my life. 6 months ago I would’ve NEVER imagined to be in the place I’m in now with my recovery. I became so intertwined with my disorder that i thought it would be a part of me forever. I continue to fight anorexia every day for the little girl inside me who looked up to this disorder as a way to “gain control” over my autonomy when it was ripped away from me. I now know that I was never in control of my ed, but it was fully in control of me.
I am no longer at war with my own body, but i still have a long way to go mentally. Recovery isn’t linear. I’ve had slip ups, but throughout this journey I’ve proven I can pick myself right back up.
I’m so grateful to all my doctors, therapists, my amazing friends I’ve made through Renfrew, and everyone in my life who showed up for me during all of this 🫶🏼 @renfrewcenter taught me so much about myself. I’ve never felt more in tune with my own emotions and body. It’s okay to not be okay and it’s more than okay to ask for help.
To my Renfrew friends: I believe in every single one of you. Thank you for giving me the community i always wanted and needed. My time there wouldn’t have been the same without you and I am forever grateful 🤍🤍
FUCK YOU ED!!!!!!!!
