She heard my voice from outside the hall and knew it was me 🥹.

We hadn’t seen each other in almost 18 years. Her pharmacy (ran with her husband ) gave me my first BQ in Jos.

That was my first exposure to creating and executing programs. I only eat chocolate and coke daily . I was so skinny 😃.

Fast forward almost two decades!!! She was at the ACPN Conference in Abuja, enjoying the exhibition and I was in the hall presenting.

She said she heard my voice, looked up and recognized me. She started searching for me 🥹🥰. She said she kept telling people no two persons bear my name.

When she finally found me it was instant hugs 🤗. Just two people who hand me seen in 18 years, picking up like we had seen each other yesterday.

She had not aged one bit. Looking so beautiful and wise and sharp. It honestly made me emotional.

We meet so many people while we are finding our way in life and work. We rarely know which of those interactions will stay with us.

So maybe it’s worth it being kind. You never know who will remember you.

You definitely never know who might hear your voice 18years later and come looking for you 💗
