4 exercises helping me get back on the court after ACL Reconstruction Surgey ๐Ÿ€

At this stage of my ACL recovery, training isnโ€™t just about getting stronger. Itโ€™s about rebuilding the strength, control, conditioning, and confidence Iโ€™ll need to play again.

These are 4 exercises from one of my recent sessions with @mariapereira_pt and why theyโ€™re part of my training:

๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿฝ Leg Extensions โ†’ quad strength + knee extension
๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ Floor-Seated Lat Pulldowns โ†’ upper-body strength
๐Ÿ›ท Sled Pushes โ†’ lower-body force production
๐Ÿšด๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ Assault Bike Sprints โ†’ full-body power + conditioning

Swipe through to see why Iโ€™m doing each movement, what itโ€™s training, and how I believe it will transfer to the basketball court.

The goal isnโ€™t just to finish out the 9 months of recovery. Itโ€™s to be ready for everything the game asks of me when I get there.

4 months post-op. Still working. Still building. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿฆฟ

TRANSFER: Stronger quads help with jumping, landing, sprinting, decelerating, and absorbing force on the court.

TRANSFER: Helps with upper-body strength for contact, rebounding, and controlling your body during the game

TRANSFER: Trains repeated full-body bursts of power needed for acceleration, transitions, and explosive plays.

TRANSFER: Develops leg drive and force production for acceleration, sprinting, and pushing through contact.
