Brut. journalist Jami Male spoke to one of Trump's supporters in Washington, D.C. about the war in Iran ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Many Democratic lawmakers and candidates have stated that they will move to pass a war powers resolution if they obtain majority control of House and Senate, seeking to force Trump to end unauthorized U.S. military operations in Iran. Republicans in support of Trump's military action have backed the president's claims that strikes were necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. #Iran #Midterms #Election #Voters #StreetInterview

Organize protests demanding his release at Israeli consulates and embassies, watch for updates, opportunities to support legal defense, and calls to action in the coming days. Israeli forces raided Burin in the West Bank at 3AM on October 27, detaining 60 residents. They took Ghassan Najjar from his home and assaulted him, causing a head injury. His condition is unknown. Ghassan co-founded the Burin Land and Farming Cooperative and has spent years supporting farmers facing settler violence. Shin Bet had threatened to detain him if he kept organizing. Now he’s held indefinitely, without charge or trial. We demand his immediate and unconditional release, and humane treatment and protection from torture while he is held. ✍️ Sign via the link in bio 📢 Share and tag your representatives #FreeGhassan #BurinisnotAlone #OliveHarvest

In 2025, ski mountaineer @jimwmorrison made history as the first person to climb and ski down Mount Everest’s North Face via the so-called Super Direct route. It was an accomplishment he’d initially hoped to achieve with his partner, ski mountaineer and National Geographic Explorer Hilaree Nelson. Joined by his friend, award-winning filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer @jimmychin, the historic ski has been turned into a documentary, directed by Chin and @chaivasarhelyi. Ahead of the film’s premiere, Nat Geo spoke to Morrison about how he turned a lifetime of tragedy into triumph. Learn more at the link in bio. Photograph by Jimmy Chin Mount Everest has been skied a few times before, usually via the South Col route, which is also the way most mountaineers climb the mountain. But until last year, no one had successfully descended the north face’s Super Direct, which drops 9,000 steep and icy feet from the summit to the Rongbuk Glacier below. Halloween 2026 hall of fame The “I hate gay Halloween” trend has become an annual internet tradition celebrating hilariously obscure pop culture costumes. The joke dates back to at least 2023, when someone complained about attending a gay Halloween party where a guest was dressed as Lady Gaga at exactly 2 minutes and 53 seconds into her “Judas” music video. By 2024, the format had exploded, with people showing up as everything from Chappell Roan’s passenger seat to a tennis ball from Challengers.
