Onetwo.twofour [
@one2.2four] and Raras Sukardi [@razosukardi] are artists that we cannot write about objectively. ꒰ঌ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)໒꒱ While it is true that they are objectively playing many gigs around town ([@goolugatupheathcote] Goo Sounds,
@tone.list,
@outcome_unknown , indie bands, gamelan ensembles…), we have very subjective feelings about them as musicians and people. ❤️🔥𖤓˚࿔ An excellent combination of silly and serious, committed to their practices in a way which is expansive not limiting.
They are also 2/6 of WWIM (and not writing this about themselves). They’ve collaborated in an organising capacity and played together at jams and in larger groups, but it is especially ridiculous that this is a debut set from this duo❕ Expect something in the world of: windy, silly, collage, helicopter, and plonk. ☆⌒(ゝ。∂)
Izabelle “Izzy” French is a transfeminine artist (improviser, musician, composer, writer) and researcher based in Boorloo. Her work is varied in media and approach, exploring the bounds of play, interpretation, and perception within musical performance. Her noise project onetwotwofour is about finding beauty in brutality and the ongoing exorcism of masculinity.
Raras Sukardi is a Boorloo-based wind instrumentalist, experimenting with improvised and noise music. She creates soundscapes that feel organic to her, often inspired by her Indonesian heritage and complexities of being part of the Asian diaspora living on stolen Country. Combining soundworlds that are earthy and otherworldly with coarse electric noise, Raras celebrates the unexpected.
