Autumn leaves 🍁and pumpkins 🎃 PURRlease 🍁 Weather ☀️🌤️☁️ Hi: 14°C/57°F. Lo: 0°C/32°F A lovely day with a mix of sun and clouds in the Bay, a great day to stand, sit or reach for the treats. I tried all three 😹 The leaves are approaching maximum colour around here just in time for Thanksgiving weekend. I’ve heard there’s turkey on my menu tomorrow… to say I am excited would be an understatement as I’ve only had turkey out a can before - not sure about cranberry sauce though! 😹 Have a lovely #caturday everypawdy and to our fellow #canadiancats have a terrific long weekend for #canadianthanksgiving 🍁 Love your tabby girl Miss Milly Molly Moo. 🤎

Who is Edelman? It’s a question that has plagued me for over a decade. About 13 years ago, a friend of mine found a Los Angeles Lakers jersey at a local thrift store and decided to make it the only article of clothing he would wear for that entire summer. The name on the back of the jersey was “Edelman”. “It must be some c-list player nobody’s ever heard of”, we all thought. It actually seemed kind of cool to support a relatively unknown professional athlete. Almost, hipster. Except, when we tried looking up Edelman online, nothing came up. The closest result was three-time Super Bowl champion wide receiver, Julian Edelman of the New England Patriots. That couldn’t be it. Why would an NFL player’s name be on an NBA jersey in the back of a Value Village in East Vancouver? Why would it exist at all? We came to the conclusion that it was most likely just a custom jersey created by some regular schmo, whose name happened to be Edelman. He became somewhat of a folk hero within our social circle. The mysterious Edelman. Who was he? Where did he live? Does he walk among us? Does he watch us from the shadows, filled with rage and regret for abandoning his beloved jersey? Keeping tabs on it. The summer lulled on, and the jersey came with us wherever we went. Lazy afternoons at Kits beach. Late nights at the Diamond in Gastown. Brunches at Biercraft on Commercial. Throwing wine bottles at trains in Crab park, while “All Gold Everything” by Trinidad Jame$ rattles out of an iPhone 4. Screaming Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, at the absolute top of our lungs, during Earls happy hour in Kelowna. All the while wondering, who is Edelman? Eventually my friend grew tired of the jersey and dropped it off at the same thrift store he originally found it at. I like to think some other ragtag posse of wayward miscreants adopted it and took it on a whole slew of brand new adventures with them. Or maybe it finally found its way back to Edelman himself. I guess we’ll never know. 🥲
