Came to see some art, somehow ended up becoming part of it.
I guess that’s one way to make a gallery visit memorable.

Honestly, I love places that make you stop for a second and look at things differently. Maybe that’s what art is supposed to do — make you see something familiar from a completely different perspective. 🖼️

Local Activists Claim ICE Is Detaining People in Stockton

via @209timesenespanol

Local migrant rights activist, Luis Magaña, took to social media and stated that ICE immigration officers have detained people in Stockton on 8th St and Mariposa in south east Stockton.

Other videos posted online show men in unmarked vehicles without uniform identification eating at In n Out in Stockton also.

Elsewhere in the 209, others are also claiming individuals have been detained by ICE agents in multiple cities.

Neither ICE nor local law enforcement authorities have made any public statements confirming the claims as of this publication.

We can however, confirm that Mayor Christina Fugazi has led the city council to withdrew the City of Stockton from a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration concerning ICE enforcement. By withdrawing from the lawsuit, which includes several other cities in California and Oregon, the City of Stockton has now opened the door for ICE agents to move on residents in the port city. We will report more on those details shortly.

To be continued…
