Burdett FC Senior Team
Islington Market Road | Summer 2026
After a difficult season in the ILFL Winter League, the club made the decision to change direction, with a new management team brought in to rebuild the senior side.
The response has been extremely positive. Across our 10-game summer campaign at Islington Market Road, the team produced some fantastic performances and memorable moments, eventually finishing mid-table in a competitive division.
A huge amount of credit goes to First Team Manager Anas, alongside Head of Football Ibrahim, who have worked tirelessly to rebuild a senior setup that was in desperate need of change.
At the heart of that rebuild has been a commitment to youth, with several players making the step directly from our U17s into men’s football and becoming regular members of the senior squad. Their performances throughout the summer have shown just how exciting the future of this group can be.
Massive thanks to every player who represented Burdett throughout the summer. It was especially great to welcome back so many familiar faces and former Burdett players, who made time to return to the club and play their part in the campaign.
Once Burdett, always Burdett. 💙
