i know when i’m actually locking in based on two things: my degree of emotional attachment to the song white mustang by lana del rey with which i have a deep spiritual connection the likes of which i have felt with no other song on my most #lockedin periods and the amount of times i revisit my iwaoi bookmarks. one of which i cannot do anymore. but like ill be honest this ao3 shutdown could not have come at a worse time because before this month i used to be the type of person who never noticed when ao3 was down like i actually didn’t really read it often excepting the brief period of time when i was 14 and jobless but this month i don’t know why i got into ao3 with a passion the likes of which i literally haven’t seen since i was 14. im actually so sad because all the fanfics i download are reserved for when i take planes and the most recent plane i took was when i went to thailand this summer and i was still obsessed with miraculous ladybug which means all my downloaded fics are miraculous ladybug and im sorry marinette dupain cheng but im gonna be honest your life is even more depressing than gojo satoru like i can’t read about a 14yo teenage girl juggling school and superheroing and grown adults trying to kill her and her love interest being capable of not only destroying the planet but the entire galaxy without feeling stressed. but the only stsg fic i have downloaded is carry me home which is my plane gic like if crazy rich asians is my plane movie then carry me home is my plane fic. it’s been with me to the philippines to korea to japan to south africa to the uk to canada to the usa. like literally everywhere ive visited since it was published in 2022. in fact i don’t think i literally ever have read it outside the confines of a plane because i downloaded it at the airport before even reading it. but now ill have to break my streak because it’s the only stsg fic i have on hand… i can’t read miraculous ladybug im not that desperate. like gojos life i can cry about but marinettes life has my heart palpitating. does anyone care that she’s like barely even a teenager. and the fact that she’s going to lose her memories after giving up guardianship.
al_ilmiyyah is an Islamic feminist activist from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, whose work centres on the intersection of Islam, gender equality, and women's rights. He engages with contemporary debates surrounding Islamic feminism, religious interpretation, patriarchy, and the position of women in Muslim society. His approach reflects an interest in examining traditional religious and social structures through the perspectives of gender justice, equality, and women's empowerment. As an advocate of Islamic feminist thought, he seeks to encourage conversations about the relationship between faith and feminism, challenging the assumption that Islamic identity and feminist values are inherently incompatible. His activism is situated within the broader discourse on Muslim women's rights in India, particularly concerning religious agency, social justice, gender-based discrimination, and the reinterpretation of religious traditions. Through his engagement with these subjects, al_ilmiyyah represents an emerging voice in discussions on progressive Islamic thought and gender equality
