On August 15th, 2026, the girl who saw BTS on
@attstadium was not the 19 year old me, was the 12 year old “baby army” Valentina, who would die to see them live. If i could say one thing to that Valentina, it would be “we did it, Valen.” I sat on the nosebleed seats, I bought my tickets from resale, anxious I would suffer a scam, but i didn’t. The whole time, the whole thing felt unreal.
A lot of fangirls get evil comments from people for enjoying a band or a singer the same way men love sports. Me included. “you’re almost 20 years old and you like BTS?” “you cried when it was over? that’s so embarrassing” No. I screamed, I cried, I sobbed, I danced, I sweat, I laughed, I jumped. I was not afraid of being judged, because i’ve waited for so long for this moment that was finally happening.
I am so grateful for my dad
@giulaucas for buying the tickets for me, and I am so grateful for my love
@noah_mcbride001 for going to the concert with me, even though he didn’t like the music or the band, he knew it was important to me. 🥹💜 (he recorded everything while i danced and enjoyed myself.)
Everything was great, until i heard the intro to “Into the Sun”. And the moment that intro played, I started crying even more. I knew my dream was coming to an end.
And when the outro finally faded, and the lights came on, all I could do was sit down on my seat and allow myself to feel what the 12 year old me felt like, when she find out she couldn’t go to “Love Myself: TOUR”.
I have no further words to describe how perfect everything was. (and i’ll never shut up about this concert, i had the time of my fucking life.) Thank you, BTS. Thank you for teaching me so much in these 8 years.
