Just one person.
Before moving to Japan, I never thought much about eating alone.
For me, meals were about the people I shared them with—the conversations, laughter, and stories.
Then I moved to Japan and found myself eating most meals by myself.
At first, I didn’t enjoy it.
But over time, those quiet meals became something I looked forward to. They gave me time to slow down, appreciate the food, and enjoy the moment.
I realised that being alone and being lonely aren’t always the same thing.

I’ve been traveling solo for a long time, and I don’t find it strange at all. If anything, I love it. Everything is exactly how I want it—no compromising, no adjusting my plans for anyone else.☺️

Do you drink alcohol ？ if you are, then I recommend to go to Japanese pub 。"Izakaya". you make friends easily. and if you like there , Try to continue coming back there. There is a people like you enjoying being by them self, and sometimes be with friends. They don't exchanging phone numbers nothing you just have a friend there always same people there.

ひとりがベストだな。僅差だが2番目は奥さんといる時。親友との食事は半年に一回あれば充分で、あとは仕事仲間と距離感を持ってほどほどに。楽しそうにはするけど実は退屈に感じてる。とにかく、ひとりの時間が一番贅沢で楽しめる。
