4 weeks into healing my gut—here’s an update! This is a little embarrassing but I hope it helps anyone out there who may be experiencing the same and feels alone!🫶💕
So seeing a difference is a good motivator but there’s more going on than meets the eye.

The bloating and inflammation is dwindling now- fatigue and occasional stomach pains are lessening- we are on the right track!

I’m really happy I decided to get tested. I did the Gut Zoomer test and found out that my level of enteroaggregative E. coli was roughly 17 times higher than the lab’s reference limit. Seeing that, along with my elevated intestinal inflammation markers, was honestly glorious to me because what I had been feeling was being shown to me.

A gut infection can cause A LOT of inflammation and irritation in the intestinal tract and disrupt the gut barrier. Now that I know what was going on, my focus has shifted to supporting my gut and helping it heal and rebuild.

For those who have asked- these are the supplements I’m currently taking as part of that process (should I do another post on what else Im doing/eating?)

Supplements to repair my gut—>
Sodium Butyrate — supports the intestinal lining and gut barrier.

PC (Phosphatidylcholine) — supports the protective lining of the intestines and the gut barrier.

TUDCA — supports bile flow, digestion and liver function.

Omega-9 Plasmalogens — supports cell membranes and overall cellular health.

Ferravital — contains iron, B6, B12, copper and vitamin C to support iron stores and energy. This one is because I found out I have low ferritin, so I’m treating that at the same time.

Larazotide — prescription support for intestinal barrier function and permeability.

This is simply what I’m doing right now to support rebuilding, nourishing and getting everything back into balance.
