👹🤎 ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ (2009) handmade poster by Plakiat Maks Bereski @plakiat / ZOOM & prints ☛ Plakiat.com/poster/413 ☚ A beautiful tale about acceptance and anger control by Spike Jonze, songs by Karen O and The Kids 🤴🏻 There are films that sometimes speak to us more deeply because they are more personal. For me, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ is one of those films, not only because the main character’s name is Max. I wasn’t always an easy child, and I’m not always an easy adult. We are all children; our bodies are just bigger. I know the world of imagination, of imaginary lands and friends, from experience. I’ve wanted to make this film poster since I started Plakiat. As you can see, I had to create a hybrid of the Creatures’ film design with Sendak’s original designs. By Maks, who is also a Wild Thing. 🐐 Produced by @warnerbros @warnerbrosentertainment
