Today, hubby shared such a powerful word on FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP - “It All Starts at Home.”
It was one of those messages that doesn’t just speak to your ears; it speaks directly to your heart.
We often think of discipleship as something that happens at church, in Bible study or through ministry. But the first place our children should encounter faith, prayer, love, forgiveness, integrity and the Word of God is HOME.
Our children are watching us!
They are learning how to love by watching how we love each other.
They are learning how to forgive by watching how we handle conflict.
They are learning how to pray by hearing us pray.
They are learning what it means to follow Christ by watching how we live when nobody else is watching.
Discipleship is not just what we teach our children. It is what we model before them.
Today, Mo reminded us that if we want to change the next generation, we must start with the generation sitting around our dinner tables.
The church/schools cannot disciple our children for us. It partners with us. But most of the work begins at HOME.
May God help us build homes where Jesus is not just spoken about on Sundays, but lived out every day.
So blessed to know him❤️❤️.
Because ultimately, family discipleship starts at home.
