Yesterday, the SABC KZN Region came together to celebrate Heritage Month, and what a beautiful celebration it was!

From vibrant traditional attire and incredible food to fascinating research, culture, music and plenty of vibe 😄. Our teams truly showed up and represented their heritage with pride.

But beyond the celebration, it was about connection, stepping away from our different departments, getting to know one another and strengthening the bonds that make us one KZN team.

Different tribes. Different cultures. Different stories. One team. One SABC KZN.

Only a few people will truly understand the pain of putting together an event, pouring your heart, time, energy and resources into it, only for the unthinkable to happen - few tickets, or worse, no tickets sold. It’s, without a doubt, one of the hardest feelings for any event organiser💔.

We know this feeling all too well. We recently had to postpone our own event on the same weekend for the very same reason. But that experience has reminded us even more of the importance of showing up and supporting one another, especially when we know what goes into putting an event together.

That's why we can’t wait to come through to JHB this weekend to support one of our own @nonto_r

Postponing our own event doesn’t mean we stop supporting another artist. In this industry, we need to celebrate, encourage and show up for one another because sometimes, simply buying a ticket and filling a seat means more than people realise.

And if you need a good dose of laughter, joy and a night out, Carnival is the place to be this Saturday at 6PM!

Come through, bring your friends, bring your partner, bring the whole crew - let’s fill the seats and support!

We’ll see you there🥳❤️. by @therealphindilicious

Today, we had the absolute joy of watching our son shine on stage, and honestly… my heart is full.

There is something so beautiful about watching your child enjoy themselves - laughing, performing, finding their confidence and simply being a child. Seeing them up there, completely immersed in the moment, reminded me that school is about so much more than books, tests and results.

Schools play such an important role in shaping our children. They are places where our children learn, grow, discover who they are, build friendships, develop confidence and create memories that they will carry with them for years to come.

And as parents, nothing makes us happier than knowing that the little people we love most are happy where they spend so much of their time.

Today wasn't just a school production. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy of childhood, the gift of community and the incredible privilege of watching our children grow.

To the teachers and everyone who made today possible - thank you for creating a space where our children can learn, express themselves and simply SHINE✨.

My heart is full❤️. by @therealphindilicious

Today, I had the honour of delivering the Welcome Address at the Women of Substance Awards 2026, hosted by Lotus FM.

What a beautiful celebration of women whose stories are filled with courage, resilience, sacrifice, leadership and impact.

As I stood before these remarkable women, I reflected on what it truly means to be a woman of substance.

It isn't just about the titles we carry or the achievements attached to our names.

It is about character. Purpose. Influence. Impact.

And one question I shared today really captures what I believe meaningful leadership is about:

“What will be different because I was here?”

Who will be better because you believed in them?
Whose door will open because you opened yours?
What young woman will dare to dream because she watched you?

That is substance.

Congratulations to all the incredible women who were nominated, recognised and celebrated today.

May we continue to celebrate one another, amplify one another and make space for one another to rise.

There is room for all of us to shine.

My prayer for you this week is that God will give you peace in the places where you have been anxious, strength in the places where you have felt weak, and clarity in the places where you have been uncertain.

May He remind you that what feels delayed is not necessarily denied, and what you cannot see yet does not mean God is not working.

May doors that are meant for you open, and may you have the wisdom to walk away from those that are not.

May this week bring you unexpected favour, divine connections, answered prayers and moments that remind you that God has not forgotten you.

And above all, may you have the courage to trust Him, even when you don't understand the process.

May this be the week you see God's hand in ways you never expected.

Have a blessed week ahead❤️.

Today, hubby shared such a powerful word on FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP - “It All Starts at Home.”

It was one of those messages that doesn’t just speak to your ears; it speaks directly to your heart.

We often think of discipleship as something that happens at church, in Bible study or through ministry. But the first place our children should encounter faith, prayer, love, forgiveness, integrity and the Word of God is HOME.

Our children are watching us!

They are learning how to love by watching how we love each other.
They are learning how to forgive by watching how we handle conflict.
They are learning how to pray by hearing us pray.
They are learning what it means to follow Christ by watching how we live when nobody else is watching.

Discipleship is not just what we teach our children. It is what we model before them.

Today, Mo reminded us that if we want to change the next generation, we must start with the generation sitting around our dinner tables.

The church/schools cannot disciple our children for us. It partners with us. But most of the work begins at HOME.

May God help us build homes where Jesus is not just spoken about on Sundays, but lived out every day.

So blessed to know him❤️❤️.

Because ultimately, family discipleship starts at home.
