A long overdue update of the last couple weeks…
We had another brilliant camp at Somerford last weekend. The only two photos I managed to take were of some of the team watching Team 🇬🇧 smash it out in Aachen🥇, and a familiar face who came to camp loving life with his new rider🧡
Other than that it was a very long couple of days, but as I said to one of the riders over dinner, there are not many jobs out there where you can feel more alive at the end of a very long day than at the start…. Always so much fun, and it’s great to watch the progression of both horse and rider from the first flatwork session to the last XC session.
Looking forward to the next one already👊🏽
I was also kindly invited to the preview evening of the Horses Inside Out Equine Anatomy Exhibition 2026 which has now come to an end today. Gillian has once again outdone herself on building an incredible learning environment for all us to better understand our horses, how we train them, and how we look after them, and I hugely encourage anyone to go next year.
Lots of good results coming in, and a huge congratulations to those of you who have had successful runs at recent Regional Finals. Lots of hard work paying off👏🏼👏🏼
I’m also having fun getting to know 4 year old Jack at home who has now successfully jumped his first corners and skinny brushes🔥
Slightly daunting that there is only two months left of the season, but plenty of training opportunities to get involved in all around the country.
