Date night ✨

Had the most incredible meal at @herplacesupperclub 🤩 This is truly one of the best restaurants in Philly (it’s no surprise they got a Michelin star earlier this year).

The menu changes every 3 weeks so it’s full of fresh, seasonal ingredients. We sat at the chef’s counter which was an extra special treat to get to watch the action!

✨Tasting menu only ($110/per person)
✨Optional wine pairing ($85/per person) but we highly recommend adding it!

Perfect for date night or a special occasion 💘

because suddenly we’re adults & expected to make a turkey this thanksgiving 🤪 so naturally, I called my mom for backup! we’re doing a little practice run with a @sandersonfarmschicken and putting our own greek spin on it! #ad because the secret to a stress-free thanksgiving turkey might just be making one before the big day — pick up a Sanderson Farms whole chicken (aka your practice turkey!) at your local retailer near you! Sharing how we made our chicken below! Ingredients: Sanderson Farms Whole Chicken 1 cup butter, softened 1 large bunch fresh thyme 1 large bunch fresh rosemary Kosher salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 2 tbsp Greek seasoning 4 lemons 1 orange 1 head of garlic 1 sweet onion, cut in wedges 3 Yukon gold potatoes, cut in wedges 6-8 carrots 1/2 cup olive oil 3/4 cup chicken broth Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove the giblets of the chicken. Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Set the chicken aside. 2. In a roasting pan, add the whole carrots, potatoes, and onions. Cover and toss in olive oil, juice of 2 lemons, chicken stock, 1 tbsp Greek seasoning, salt, and pepper. 3. Prep the herb butter. Add softened butter to a large bowl with 1 tbsp minced thyme, 1 tbsp minced rosemary, 4 minced garlic cloves, zest of 1 lemon, salt and pepper. Using your hands, toss together to combine. 4. Prep the chicken. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and greek seasoning on the inside and outside of the chicken. Stuff the cavity with a handful of thyme and rosemary, 4 minced garlic cloves, 4 lemon wedges, and 4 orange wedges. 5. Spread butter on the outside and under the skin of the chicken and season again with salt, pepper, and greek seasoning. 6. Place the chicken on top of the potato, carrot, mixture. Note: we prefer to cook breast side down to keep the breast moist. 7. Place the roasting pan in the oven and bake for 1.5 hours. 8. Once the chicken is cooked and golden brown, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 10 or so minutes before carving. 9. Serve warm and enjoy!

When you hear another kid tell your kid “you can’t play with us,” it can hit you right in the chest. Of course you want to march over and fix it. Here’s what I want you to do instead: 1️⃣ Remember this is not an emergency. It’s painful, but only emergencies need urgent action. 2️⃣ Just watch. Say nothing for 10, 20, 30 seconds. Your kid might handle it before you ever have to step in. 3️⃣ Think about the future. Your kid is learning patterns now that will play out when they’re 18, 25. You want them to know they have coping skills, not that someone will always swoop in to solve it. 4️⃣ Hold back on “You have to let my kid play.” When we do that, we’re teaching our kid they should want to be accepted by people who aren’t being kind to them. If it still stings later, for them or for you, that’s okay too. You can say something like: “That was a hard moment at the park. I’m here if you want to talk about it.” Then let them lead.
