I didn’t realize this at the time, but being bad at marketing forced me to focus on something more important.👉 Usefulness.There’s a lot of pressure nowadays to be visible as a leader. To post more, say more, and to be everywhere in general.I think a lot of things grow the opposite way. You build something people actually value, and the attention follows.At a slower pace? Probably. Less flashy? Definitely.Over time, it compounds, and most of what we’ve built at @goruntheday didn’t come from promotion.It came from doing the work, over and over again, and letting people experience it for themselves.I’m still figuring out the “sharing it” part, but I think there’s a way to do both:A. Build something meaningfulB. Talk about it honestlyWhile remaining authentic and not turning into someone I’m not.I’m looking forward to connecting with more of you and sharing what that journey looks like (while figuring it out!) 👋 If we haven’t met, let’s change that. I’ve been to enough races to know that the running is almost never the point.It’s the decision to sign up when you’re not sure you’re ready. The stranger who runs alongside you at mile 2 when your legs start to argue with you. The feeling at the finish line that’s really hard to put into words until you’ve felt it yourself 🏃That’s what keeps me showing up. Follow along for more. by @ian.on.the.run

Honestly the only qualification that matters 👀Most people who show up to a 5K aren’t professional runners. They’re just people who decided to stop sitting on the sidelines and see what they were capable of. That’s the whole point.Share this with someone who needs the reminder 🙌 by @ian.on.the.run
