SIX - Fire Breathing Beast / Sgt. Perv
SIX, a new Hardcore/Punk band from Semarang, is releasing their first single and maxi-single—titled "Blunt Force Trauma" and "Fire Breathing Beast / Sgt. Perv"—in 2026. These releases bring a fresh wave to the Hardcore/Punk scene, serving as an introduction to their upcoming full-length album and marking their official debut.
It begins with "Blunt Force Trauma," which depicts the perspective of a victim of blunt force violence involving a hammer; lyricist Fikri Fadil Faiza drew inspiration from the TV show *Dexter*, known for the frequent violence depicted in its episodes. Next is "Fire Breathing Beast," referring to a fire-breathing, two-headed dragon—a mythological creature often dismissed by some as mere fiction or taboo. The final track, "Sgt. Perv," addresses the rank of Sergeant (found in military and police sectors); the title alludes to the instances of sexual misconduct and pedophilia involving such officers that frequently appear in local news reports. Such behavior represents a human aberration that only tarnishes the reputation of the institutions involved.
This year, SIX will roll out these three tracks—"Blunt Force Trauma," "Fire Breathing Beast," and "Sgt. Perv"—in succession. They were recorded at Studio Barkah in Semarang, with Dzul Fawaid Ahmad (Sunlotus, Tiderays) handling recording, mixing, and mastering. The lyrics were written by Fikri Fadil Faiza, while the music was composed by Abiyu Bahy Arhab and Moch Bagas Maulidiar.
