Comment INTERESTED if you want to know WHERE i did this. Not everything that heals you comes with scientific proof. 🌿
Ayurveda is over 5,000 years old. Millions of people swear by it. But does it really work?
Ayurveda has been practised in India for thousands of years, and millions of people swear by its benefits.

I’ve been exploring different Ayurvedic treatments, from traditional oil massages to Shirodhara, herbal therapies and more.

Some of these practices can be deeply relaxing, and certain elements, like yoga and meditation, do have scientific evidence supporting their benefits.

I do think there’s value in exploring traditional wisdom with an open mind.

What do you think? Is Ayurveda ancient wisdom, modern wellness or a little bit of both?

This is the Sydney Armchair Sofa Bed from @ecosa_us (it also comes in 4 other sizes and 3 other colors!), and I had no idea it was going to make me want to spend all my time in this corner of my home. It’s sooo cozy to lounge on, and absolutely perfect for apartment dwellers who like to host overnight guests ☁️😴 I also love that Ecosa is a B Corp-Certified business and uses responsibly-sourced timber for all of their wood products ❣️ #ecosasleep #ecosa #ad

BLAH-BLAH-BLAH PEAKED IN THE UK 40 YEARS AGO TODAY

“I'm not the kind of guy who dresses like a king...”

Released just over 40 years ago in the UK on Monday 29th September 1986, Iggy Pop’s Blah-Blah-Blah charted at its peak position of #43 on this day, 11th October.

Produced by David Bowie and David Richards, it fared better in New Zealand and Switzerland where it was a top 20 release, and in Sweden it peaked at #3.

The UK position was disappointing, considering both Iggy and Bowie fans would have been potential purchasers.

The pair’s previous collaborations, The Idiot and Lust For Life, were top 30 albums in the UK in 1977.

Six of the ten tracks on Blah-Blah-Blah were co-written with Bowie, though the biggest hit single from the album was a cover version: Real Wild Child (Wild One), which reached #10 and gave Iggy two Top Of The Pops’ appearances in January 1987. The only other performance on the show was Beside You in May 1994.

These are the five singles in order of release: Cry for Love, Real Wild Child (Wild One), Shades, Fire Girl, and Isolation.

Despite being blighted somewhat by the 80s production, it's actually a fine album, mainly due to the quality of the songs. Mention should be made of guitarist, ex-Sex Pistol Steve Jones, who also co-wrote three of the songs.

If you’re not familiar with Blah-Blah-Blah, you really should give it a try.

Personnel
