« Mostly Slow Tunes » is my first solo guitar album, released in 2025. These songs remind me, for no specific reason, of the persons who are close to me.

Each tune is a tribute to a different person.

This is a bit of Sweet and Lovely dedicated to @laurent_coq

Laurent is a unique pianist and you should all check him out. Check out his latest record Confidences together with @yonizelnik and @fredpasqua_ . I have known Laurent for the past 20 years, we did a couple of records together, we share suburban train rides together and we almost share the same musical tastes. Laurent writes beautiful tunes, really. Great friend, curiously sweet and disarmingly lovely.

Who else is already counting down to the 2027 Elite gymnastics season?!?! The U.S. women are projected to have multiple Olympians and World Championship medalists in the field next year! We can’t wait to see all of these incredible athletes competing alongside each other!

Comment “WIN” to get a free scaling roadmap.

I used to study a lot, and thought I was smart. I was wrong.

Two definitions changed my life:

1) Learning = same condition, different behavior.

2) Intelligence = speed of behavior change.

So if ya wanna be smart, ya gotta learn. If u wanna learn, u gotta change.

Your business will grow faster from firing all the dumb people than it will from hiring more smart people.

Long before the building became a public library, it was home to one of Chicago’s most unusual and talked about drinking spots. Known as the Midget Club, the tavern attracted plenty of attention and became a popular destination for people looking for something different from the city’s traditional nightlife. Now, rare footage offers a fascinating glimpse inside the bar and the atmosphere that once made it so memorable.

The footage comes from I Married a Munchkin, a film by Chicago filmmaker Tom Palazzolo. His work documented everyday life and some of the more unusual corners of the city, preserving scenes that might otherwise have disappeared from public memory. This particular footage gives viewers a chance to see the Midget Club as it actually looked while it was still operating.

The tavern eventually closed after the city acquired the property and the building was cleared to make way for a public library. The decision became controversial among people who believed the establishment had a place in the neighbourhood and questioned whether another location could have been used for the library instead.

Today, the footage serves as a reminder of how quickly familiar places can disappear as cities change and redevelop. Whether the library was worth the loss of the tavern is still an interesting question, especially for those who remember the Midget Club. Would you have saved the bar or supported the library?
