Basin Street Blues was a song my grandfather performed often. Then, in my freshman year of high school, I was on the flag team. The first routine we learned was to Basin Street Blues. The band director was surprised I knew it. It's just been a part of my life since I was a baby. I love this version. It brings me great joy to hear it.
