AUGUST 18 WAS BIG.
Across Florida, students spent the summer organizing around their local school board elections, talking with voters, making calls, knocking doors, and building real local power around public education.
In Sarasota, that work broke through in a way we are still processing, students were everywhere, the community showed up, and now people far beyond our county are paying attention.
We are proud of what happened here, proud of what students are building statewide, and very aware that August was not the finish line.
NOVEMBER IS NEXT.
SEE Alliance is launching the next phase of our nonpartisan voter education and turnout work, and very soon we’ll announce a special Sarasota gathering to celebrate August, reflect on what we learned, and launch the November sprint.
But, for just one more second, we’re going to enjoy this.
GOOOO TEAM!!!!
