Photos by @pandoraplantt Look up, breathe deep, and inhale the invisible health benefits of the forest. Trees are epicenters of bacteria, fungi, and other microscopic organisms—some of which can enter the environment with wind, rain, and other natural forces.¹ Researchers are now studying whether the microbial diversity of forest air might help explain some of the health benefits that people feel when spending time underneath a canopy. Beyond exposing us to a tapestry of potentially beneficial microbes, spending time among trees and other greenery is known to reduce psychological stress. Yet more reason to seek out the greens, yellows, and oranges of the canopy this season.
The new Christopher Ward C1 Loco Classic puts the movement front and center. Following the sporty C12 Loco, Christopher Ward takes its distinctive caliber in a more traditional direction. The result is a 41mm 904L stainless steel watch with an off-center, domed white ceramic sub-dial and an exposed balance wheel and escapement, held in place by hand-finished bridges. Available in blue, black, and gold, each version features a textured dial with powdered mother-of-pearl in the varnish. Turn the watch over, and the manually wound CW-003 caliber reveals its symmetrical architecture, twin barrels, and impressive six-day power reserve. The C1 Loco Classic starts at €5,595 on a suede strap or €5,855 on a steel bracelet. It’s one of Christopher Ward’s most ambitious creations yet. Would you choose this classic interpretation or the sportier C12 Loco? #ChristopherWard #ChristopherWardC1LocoClassic #fratellochristopherward #christopherwardc1loco
