I bought Erik a new laptop for Christmas. Then he decided to steal mine. My favorite candle. Brand-new things I knew exactly where I’d left. He denied taking anything. Told me to call the cops. Suggested the woman I’d hired to help organize a Christmas toy drive was responsible. I spent hours searching. I questioned myself. Then I opened his Notes app. A Christmas list for his mistress. The exact items missing from my home. Down to the candle I had asked him to PROMISE he hadn’t taken. “Find My” app later showed my missing work laptop’s last known location in Travelers Rest at 12:47 AM. His parents live there. I hadn’t been near there in almost a year. That computer held thousands of Harper’s childhood photos. I still haven’t gotten it back. This is the gaslighting I’m talking about. Repeated denials. Blaming someone else. Leaving me trying to make sense of things that kept disappearing. I was searching my house while he told me he knew nothing. The items I was searching for were on his mistress’s Christmas list. Even my child’s ADHD medication was disappearing. Two years of denials. Then, under oath, he finally admitted it, he invoked the Fifth.
No need to say too much when the vibe says it all.📷🎞🌞

A #Black couple in #NewYork has filed a racial discrimination lawsuit after a real estate agent allegedly texted them, “Ugh they are Black,” just moments before they were scheduled to tour an apartment. Lisa Renee Olaso, 53, and her fiancé, Cyril Christopher, 51, had traveled from Delaware to Queens in June 2026 to view an apartment after Olaso accepted a new job. As they arrived, Olaso received the text from real estate broker Helen Tzelios, 61, which she believes was intended for the property owner. According to the lawsuit, Tzelios apologized and claimed the message was a misunderstanding. She allegedly attempted to explain herself by saying there had been problems with previous Black tenants in the neighborhood. Although she offered to continue the showing, the couple declined, saying they felt humiliated and discriminated against. The couple has now sued Tzelios, the property owners and real estate company Douglas Elliman, alleging violations of federal and New York City fair housing laws. Douglas Elliman said it learned about the incident after receiving the lawsuit and fired Tzelios within an hour, emphasizing that the company has zero tolerance for discrimination. The couple, who have since relocated to Long Island, said they decided to speak publicly because they don’t want other families to experience the same treatment. The lawsuit remains unresolved.
