Dear all, There is something we would like to share with you. As many of you know, Knitting for Olive started as a hobby project. We never meant to build a big business. In fact, it wasn’t even supposed to become a full-time job for us. But time passed, and the truth is that our little hobby project grew into a successful business. We’ve loved every step of the way. But we’ve now reached a point where Knitting for Olive has become too large for the three of us to carry alone. We have therefore found a new home for Knitting for Olive: Hawk Infinity, a Norwegian founder-owned company, run by people who believe in Knitting for Olive and who believe in us. Hawk Infinity buys founder-led businesses and keeps them for good. We truly feel like we’ve found the perfect match. What will happen now? Everything will stay the same. The three of us will continue to run Knitting for Olive exactly as we do today. Our yarn will remain the same, our team will remain the same and our values will remain the same. We will continue to make high quality yarn with respect for animals, workers and our planet, while working towards a more transparent yarn industry. What does change is on our side; we now have more people around us who can help carry the weight. People we can learn from, exchange ideas with and turn to when we need advice. We feel extremely proud of what we’ve built this far, and we feel endlessly grateful for our community. Your support, trust, questions, ideas and kind words have shaped this company in more ways than you probably know. We can’t wait to begin this new chapter with you. All the best, Alexander, Pernille and Caroline.
