Ulta is a very new mountain in terms of iceclimbing. It’s been around three to four years since people started climbing it.
We woke up at 2am, drove for a few hours, then we hit morrena, glacier afterwards and finally two ice vertical walls to hit the summit at around 11am.
Thrilling, no crowds and we were back in town around 5pm
Views from Huascaran and Cancaraga Lagoon make it even more stunning.
