#withgalaxy #southafrica “Where do you come from?” I was asked this question several times a day while traveling alone through South Africa. But perhaps nowhere in the world did the question feel more complicated than in Cape Town. A city where you could look at someone and have no idea where they came from, what languages they spoke, or how many borders they had crossed to get there. People want a simple answer. But when you have lived beyond borders, the answer is rarely simple. After two weeks of answering differently, I finally found my own: I come from the land of corn and beans, of warm streets, open doors, loud laughter, and people who turn strangers into family. But I was born in the land of ancient civilizations, where rice and stew fill the table, black tea is poured endlessly, and dates are shared between stories. I come from far. Very far. From two ancient worlds. From East and West. From two ways of belonging. . «از کجا میای؟» ماه گذشته، زمانی که تنها در آفریقای جنوبی سفر می‌کردم، روزی چند بار این سؤال را از من پرسیدند. اما شاید هیچ‌جای دنیا به اندازه‌ی "کیپ‌ تاون" این سؤال برایم پیچیده نبود؛ شهری که نگاه کردن به یک آدم کافی نیست تا بفهمی اهل کجاست، چه زبان‌هایی می‌داند، یا چند مرز را برای رسیدن به اینجا پشت سر گذاشته است. آدم‌ها یک جواب ساده می‌خواهند. اما وقتی فراتر از مرزها زندگی کرده باشی، جواب دیگر ساده نیست. بعد از دو هفته که هر بار جواب متفاوتی می‌دادم، بالاخره جواب خودم را پیدا کردم: من از سرزمین ذرت و لوبیا می‌آیم؛ از خیابان‌های گرم، درهای باز، خنده‌های بلند و مردمی که غریبه‌ها را به خانواده تبدیل می‌کنند. اما در سرزمین تمدن‌های کهن به دنیا آمدم؛ جایی که برنج و خورشت بر سر سفره است، چای سیاه بی‌پایان دم می‌کشد و خرما میان قصه‌ها دست‌به‌دست می‌شود. من از دور می‌آیم. خیلی دور. از دو جهان کهن. از شرق و غرب. از دو شیوه‌ی متفاوتِ تعلق داشتن. . پی نوشت: فضای اینستاگرام برای متن های بلندی که در مورد آفریقای جنوبی و آنچه در سفر تنهایی در آن گشور تجربه کردم مناسب نیست. برای همین فراتر از اینستاگرامط فعالیتم رو در کانال تلگرامم دوباره شروع میکنم و اونجا هم میتونین جزئیات رو بخونید و دنبال کنید :)
