@celestialsaba I would love to hear your take on this and also what @eyewuh mentioned, I know you have to source fabrics do you know a dc location? Or @jayrangeatelier do you know place in the DMV other that G street ?

definitely would have to agree with what she’s saying, but also the folks in the comments as well DC unfortunately isn’t really known for the fashion that’s generated here also it’s very hard to just go and get fabric unless you go to MD/VA or order online that needs to change & the price points need to make sense there’s no reason i go to g street and can’t buy in bulk or fabric is overpriced.

Don’t have to go anywhere. What need to happen is they need to LEARN the business they want to be a part of…..Sincerely the Creator of the DMV shout out @rizthagreat 💯💯

The DMV has no shortage of talent, artistry, culture, or creative resources, with world-class musicians, filmmakers, designers, visual artists, and entrepreneurs already contributing to the region. What may be missing is the coordinated infrastructure that allows creative industries in places like Los Angeles and New York to consistently turn talent into sustainable careers, businesses, investment, and global opportunities. The region needs stronger pipelines connecting artists to funding, venues, media, production resources, education, corporate partners, and government support. With that infrastructure in place, the DMV has the potential to become not just a source of creative talent, but a nationally recognized creative economy.
